My name is Katherine. I used Tumblr as a creative way to help plan my wedding and on August 4th, 2011 I married my soul mate. Whether you're here for wedding planning or just the pretty pictures, I hope the passion and beauty of weddings inspires you too.

I love, love, love photos of unbottled beverages with cute striped straws…but how do you know every single one will be emptied?
PS: I am such a cynic sometimes.
I cannot tell you how much I adore these giant, cast iron skillets as serving dishes. Rustic isn’t always my thing, but this is.
Most weddings are all about individual plating or buffets, but what about family style? I love to see wedding—or even rehearsal dinners—where the food is served family style.
It’s always the littlest touches that I recall from weddings. Like a unique serving platter, or glasses that look like votives.
I must admit, I love shellfish! We had tiger prawns and manila clams on our big day. Any chance you’ll be serving up some seafood at your own wedding?
Well, with the record breaking amounts of rain and all, I am actually missing summer a bit…but don’t these photos take you back? I love cookies as lids on the Mason jars—how cute is that?
Is that a floral crown of ranunculus? How awesome is that????
PS: I can actually relate to this couple. Michael’s hair is now longer than mine too.
Regardless of whether a couple has a cake, a pie, or dreaded cupcakes, seasonal fruit is always what makes or breaks wedding dessert for me.
What’s your favorite wedding dessert?
So sweet, so simple. Have I mentioned on here that I chopped all my hair off? In fact, it’s not much longer than this fine lady’s!
PS: And I’ve also become a headband freak.
Tonight is our last night with some special out-of-town guests, so we’re going to the extremely delicious Agate Pass Cafe. Maybe they’ll have a sweet slice of cake for dessert?
PS: This cake topper would be such a cute DIY project to give your mom, assuming she has your old dollhouse still!
Wow, now this is a way to cool down drinks. I have no idea where you would get a boat for something like this, but let’s hope no one’s planning on rowing in it afterwards!
One thing I have definitely missed out on this summer thank to my job is bbqs and specifically corn on the cob. I think I’ve only had corn on the cob once all summer, and it was in Alaska!
But seriously, how amazing does this corn look? Talk about an upscale bbq!
Now this is what I call a bar! Check it out—those are real vines growing on there! Definitely a statement for your cocktail hour.
PS: And the daisies are nice too.
We bought a bunch of cute straws like these for out wedding and absolutely no one used them! Oh well, maybe it will work for some of you soon-to-be-wed followers out there!
